Impact assessment is a practice that is growing in relevance worldwide. More and more organisations are analysing their impacts with the objective of getting evidence, understanding and demonstrating the value of their contributions, in particular, contributions to society. In the Higher Education context, impact is also becoming a higher priority both at the EU and global levels. The ENLIGHT Impact Conference, held last 29-31 March at Bizkaia Aretoa, Bilbao, brought international leading impact experts in – and outside the academic ecosystem to exchange and discuss approaches for embedding impact within Universities full spectrum of activities, being in education, in research, in innovation or in societal engagement related activities.
Moreover, we had the chance to meet the 5 “Impact Ambassadors” of this European university alliance. The ENLIGHT Impact Awards, announced on the last day of the conference, seeked to recognize and give visibility to research endeavors at ENLIGHT universities that are exemplars in planning for and achieving impact.

L'appel à projets LTC 2023 a été clôturé cette semaine. Différents groupes de recherche ont soumis leur proposition LTC, et nous en saurons bientôt plus sur les candidatures de cette année. Le LTC sélectionné sera annoncé lors de la prochaine édition d'Euskampus Bordeaux Eguna.

Celebrada en Bizkaia Aretoa, la primera ENLIGHT Impact Conference de la Alianza Universitaria Europea ENLIGHT. “Esta es una buena oportunidad para debatir cómo aumentar la conciencia de impacto, compartir y aprender acerca de los diferentes enfoques para la evaluación del impacto, discutir las barreras y oportunidades para la promoción de agendas comunes de investigación impulsadas por el impacto” en palabras de la rectora de la UPV/EHU, Eva Ferreira.

Nace la iniciativa RescueME para proteger nuestro patrimonio y paisajes culturales del cambio climático y otros peligros.
TECNALIA desarrollará mapas del impacto del cambio climático en los paisajes culturales costeros a nivel europeo teniendo en cuenta el patrimonio edificatorio, intangible y cultural. Desde la iniciativa RescueME se equipará a las comunidades, especialmente a las de las zonas costeras, con herramientas de apoyo para proteger el patrimonio cultural y los paisajes.

Actualmente, el párkinson no tiene cura y sigue avanzando con el paso del tiempo, por lo que los síntomas –cuya naturaleza, frecuencia y gravedad varían entre personas– empeoran poco a poco. Aun así, diversos estudios han observado que existen ciertos patrones de estas manifestaciones que difieren entre sexos.

Agirre Lehendakaria Center organized an event on the occasion of its 10th Anniversary. A rich network of local and international collaborators were invited to a symposium and a public event that took place on March 29th at Bizkaia Aretoa in Bilbao. The main objective was to reflect on the challenges and opportunities of the present and future of Basque society. ALC k seeks to break with the traditional division between analysis and action with a permanent listening system.
