The meeting will be renamed EHU Euskampus Bordeaux Eguna.

The EHU Euskampus Bordeaux Eguna is the annual meeting to share, raise awareness and highlight the projects and collaborations developed within the framework of this strategic alliance between the UPV/EHU, the University of Bordeaux, the DIPC and Tecnalia, which is extended to all its collaborating entities. This 10th edition will look back at the road travelled in research, training, territorial commitment, internationalisation, sharing, among other things, a retrospective of the people and projects that have marked this period, while looking forward by focusing on the programmes and projects underway and their expected evolution.

In this edition of the Meeting, emphasis will be placed on "Training and Employability", marked as a priority in the 2023-2027 framework agreement signed by the two universities in the 2023 edition in Bilbao. The progress of the operational action plan in this field will be presented, which is being co-constructed by the management and operational teams of the two universities throughout 2024 by means of a participatory work process.

EBE PROGRAMA 2024
Final programme

On the other hand, in line with previous editions, emphasis will be placed on promoting the interaction and active participation of all participants in a programme that will alternate plenary sessions with co-creation workshops, interspersed with informal meetings to make this meeting a space for shared reflection and work, fostering multicultural, multilingual and transdisciplinary social cohesion, hallmarks of the Euskampus community and basic ingredients for collaboration in our cross-border, Euroregional and international context.

At the opening ceremony on 14th October, the achievements of the network of cross-border cooperation laboratories, LTC Sarea, will be highlighted. This network is made up of 7  Laboratories for Cross-Border Cooperation (LTC) and 10 LTC incubators, promoted and funded by both universities and the Basque Government-Eusko Jaurlaritza.

The Vice-rectors of Research of the UPV/EHU and the UB will then publicly announce the new selected LTC, which will then be presented by its scientific leaders. Immediately thereafter (14th October in the morning), an interactive retrospective of the last 10 years will be put forward, illustrated by emblematic projects presented by their references.

The “My journey on board the Euskampus Bordeaux Campus in 173 seconds, MT173” activity (15th October in the morning) will give the selected people the opportunity to present the project or initiative they are developing or have developed within the framework of the collaborations between the Euskampus entities, highlighting their experiential aspect in 173 seconds (the distance in nautical miles between Bordeaux and Bilbao). Then, the focus will be placed on emblematic university-territory connection initiatives deployed by the UB and the UPV/EHU.

Over these two days, this year’s EHU Euskampus Bordeaux Eguna 2024 will also feature time and spaces for meetings of varied formats and themes, which will be spontaneous or planned in advance by those interested and will enable them to interact and continue weaving collaborative networks. Once again, this emblematic annual meeting will include the active participation of students (undergraduate, Master's and PhD students) and representatives of non-university bodies from the Basque Country and New Aquitaine involved in cross-border dynamics.
