2022 edition

Euskampus Bordeaux Eguna, the annual meeting of the Euskampus Bordeaux Cross-Border Campus community, will be held in Bordeaux on 21st and 22nd November 2022. Once again, we will have the opportunity to share, raise awareness and highlight the projects and collaborations developed within the framework of this strategic alliance between the UPV/EHU, the University of Bordeaux, the DIPC and Tecnalia, which is extended to the entire Euskampus Board of Trustees and its collaborating institutions.

In line with the previous edition in San Sebastian, the emphasis will be on promoting the interaction and active participation of all those attending, in a programme spanning two half-days. On this occasion, as the meeting’s grand finale, we will look at the cross-border campus of the future with the help of all participants and their contributions.

The multilingual event with simultaneous interpretation, one of its hallmarks, will alternate plenary sessions with participatory workshops, informal meetings and moments of social and cultural gatherings; an opportunity to interact with the aim of getting to know each other better, continue building collaboration networks that are ultimately based on solid personal-professional relations and continue expanding the community, particularly by including more students in its midst. It is people who build the future of cross-border collaboration, and it is important to share spaces for this multicultural, multilingual and transdisciplinary social cohesion to take place.

The participatory workshop “How do we envision the Cross-Border Campus in 2030?” will be a space in which researchers, students, administrative staff, political representatives, etc., some already active members of the community and others wishing to join it, will work collectively with their contributions to generate a shared vision of the Cross-Border Campus in 2030 through the cultural, linguistic, institutional and disciplinary diversity of the Euskampus Bordeaux community. This vision will guide the design of the Euskampus Bordeaux alliance’s future framework agreement, which will be renewed in March 2023.

The activity “On board the Euskampus Bordeaux Campus” will give 15 selected people the opportunity to present the project or initiative they are developing or have developed within the framework of the collaborations between Euskampus institutions in 173 seconds, focusing on their experiential side. Researchers, project and programme managers, students, technical, administrative and services staff who are participating or have participated in a project, experience, initiative or programme related to the collaborations developed within the framework of the Euskampus Bordeaux Campus may apply to participate in this activity in Spanish, French, Basque and English: Master's theses, end-of-degree projects, pre- and post-doctoral projects, internships, research and innovation projects, cross-border summer courses, training or institutional programmes that contribute to collaboration between institutions, etc.

Programme

After focusing on the achievements of the 5 active Laboratories for Trans-Border Cooperation (LTCs) over the past year, the recently created LTC Sarea will be presented and the newly selected LTC will be publicly announced at this edition.

In response to the demand from participants at previous editions, Euskampus Bordeaux Eguna 2022 will also have times and spaces for impromptu or more formal meetings on the mornings of November 21 and 22, which will be organised by those interested in interacting and continuing to build collaboration networks.

Finally, it should also be noted that this edition will provide an opportunity to enjoy a cultural and leisure activity.
