Newskampus Special Basque Diaspora Akademikoa

Organized by the University of the Basque Country/Euskal Herriko Unibertsitatea, the 1st Symposium on the Basque Academic Diaspora will take place on 12th July at the Carlos Santamaria Center , UPV/EHU Gipuzkoa Campus, in Donostia-San Sebastián.
This 1st Symposium on the Basque Academic Diaspora is devised as a starting point to lay the foundations  of an international network of academics and researchers, with Basque descent or ties with  the Basque Country, dispersed all over the world. The network aims to stay in tune with the  roots that define their members, foster and consolidate future partnerships for mutual benefit, in terms of knowledge and sense of belonging. It will be the opportunity to identify the research, intellectual and cultural activity  scattered internationally and link  it to its roots in the Basque Country.

Euskal Herriko Unibertsitateak (UPV/EHU) antolatuta Euskal Diaspora Akademikoari buruzko I Sinposioa ospatuko da datorren uztailaren 12an Carlos Santamaria Zentroan, Donostian.  
Sinposio honek euskal jatorridun edo Euskal Herriarekin lotura duten mundu osoko akademikoen nazioarteko sarearen oinarriak ezartzeko abiapuntua izan nahi du. Sare horren helburua parte hartzaileek komunean dituzten ezaugarriak partekatzea da eta, halaber, etorkizunean elkarlanean aritzeko loturak sendotzea; elkar hobeto ezagutuz eta lankidetza sustatuz. Era berean, nazioartean sakabanatuta dagoen ikerkuntza, pentsamendua eta kultura identifikatzea eta Euskal Herrian dituzten sustraiekin lotzea ditu xede ekimen honek.

Organizado por la Universidad del País Vasco/Euskal Herriko Unibertsitatea, el próximo 12 de julio se celebrará el I Simposio sobre la Diáspora Académica Vasca, en el Centro Carlos Santamaría, del Campus de Gipuzkoa de la UPV/EHU, en San Sebastián. 
Este I Simposio sobre la Diáspora Académica Vasca se constituye como un punto de partida para sentar las bases de una red internacional de personas académicas e investigadoras, de ascendencia vasca o vinculadas con el País Vasco, establecidas por todo el mundo. La red tiene como objetivo consolidar las raíces que definen a sus integrantes, así como promover y fortalecer lazos de colaboración que supongan un beneficio recíproco al compartir conocimiento y sentido de pertenencia. Será una buena oportunidad para identificar la actividad investigadora, intelectual y cultural repartida a nivel internacional y vincularla a sus raíces en el País Vasco.
