Industry 4.0

“In the end, we only regret the chances we didn´t take”

Strategic Framework

To assist in the transition from the 3.0 to the 4.0 workshop at the life-cycle level, and especially:

  • To bring value to the companies from the bottom up, to improve their processes.
  • Projects led by the manufacturing process.
  • To carry out integration of the digitalisation in industrial environments for their diagnosis and optimisation (customisation of products, simulation of processes, capture and interpretation of data, cloud/edge computing, flexible robotics, parallel kinematics…).

Cooperation in the manufacturing value chain (horizontal approach), and especially:

  • Integration of manufacturing processes of different suppliers
  • Generation of networks, starting with the identification and analysis of interest groups
  • To promote the integration of SMEs into the same
  • To help change or adapt the business model

Study of the socioeconomic and work impact that Industry 4.0 can generate:

  • Adaptation of workers to new paradigms
  • Continuous training

Cross-cutting CHALLENGE

To take advantage of new communication technologies (for example, 5G) in order to:

  • Optimise processes (functionally or economically)
  • Enable new processes or methods

Agenda for actions

  1. Aenigme Joint Cross-Border Laboratory (LTC)
  2. Request for collaborative projects at regional, national and European level.
  3. Agreement between Tecnalia and the University of Bordeaux on Manufacturing issues
  4. Industry 4.0 pilot working group
  5. TO-SHARE observatory
  6. Technological Surveillance study with VIA INNO
